Getting started

Install WellTend Site and Admin Toolkit, find the module you want, switch it on, and undo it.

Updated Oct 17, 2026

WellTend Site and Admin Toolkit is a set of small switches for your WordPress site. You turn on only the ones you want. This page walks through the first five minutes.

You need WordPress 6.4 or newer and PHP 7.4 or newer, and an administrator account.

Install#

  1. Go to Plugins → Add New Plugin, search for "WellTend Site and Admin Toolkit", and click Install Now, then Activate.
  2. Open AllWPCare → WellTend Site and Admin Toolkit in the admin sidebar.

Activating the plugin changes nothing about your site. Every module starts switched off.

Find a module#

The page lists every module in eight groups. Use the search box to find one by what it does, for example "login", "comments" or "robots". Search looks at the name, the description and related words, so you do not need the exact title.

The groups are content and media, admin interface, log in and users, custom code, disable components, security, speed and optimization, and utilities. See Modules overview for what each group holds.

Switch one on#

  1. Click the switch on a module.
  2. It is live straight away, and an Undo message stays on screen for a few seconds.
  3. If the module has options, they open below it. Checkboxes, choices and numbers save as you change them. Text, code, web address and password fields have their own Save button, so a half-typed value never goes live.

A few modules can change how the whole site behaves, such as a new login address or a site password. They show what will happen and how to get back, ask you to confirm, and take a safety copy of your settings first. See Safety and undo.

Switch it off#

Turn the switch off and the change is reversed. Modules use WordPress filters and hooks only, so nothing is left behind in your server files.

With WellTend Snapshots#

If WellTend Snapshots is active too, every Toolkit module appears in its snapshots, comparisons and exports. That gives you a full history and a restore with undo for every setting you change here.

From the command line#
