WellTend Snapshots docs
Getting started
Install WellTend Snapshots, take your first snapshot, compare it with your live site, restore it and undo the restore.
Snapshots
What a snapshot captures, where it is stored, how many are kept and how to create, list, compare and delete them.
Export and import
Export your settings to one deterministic JSON file, read its format, and import it on another site with a preview first.
Diff and restore
How comparisons work, exactly what a restore does step by step, what gets skipped and why, and how --force changes it.
Secrets and redaction
Exactly which values are redacted from exports and snapshots, how, what a marker does on import, and what is never captured at all.
WP-CLI commands
Reference for every wp awc config command, flag and exit code: export, import, diff, restore and snapshot create, list and delete.
Supported plugins and settings
Every settings source WellTend Snapshots reads and writes: WordPress core, the active theme, five plugin families, AllWPCare plugins, and any other plugin or theme option.
Modules moved to the Toolkit
WellTend Snapshots is a pure settings manager. The tweak switches now live in WellTend Site and Admin Toolkit, and show up here as snapshot sources.
For developers
Register your own settings source with the awc_scm_providers filter, hook into snapshots and restores, and call the awc-scm/v1 REST API.
