WellTend Snapshots does one job: it keeps your settings readable, comparable and restorable. It does not change how your site behaves, so it has no switches of its own.
The small tweak switches that used to be described on this page, such as disabling emojis or limiting revisions, now belong to a separate plugin: WellTend Site and Admin Toolkit. You can browse and search all of its modules there.
How the two work together#
- Every Toolkit module is registered with WellTend Snapshots as a settings source named
toolkit.<module id>. - So any tweak you make in the Toolkit is included in your snapshots, shown in plain language in a comparison, and restorable with an undo.
- Passwords and API keys the Toolkit stores, such as an SMTP password, are marked secret and never exported. See Secrets and redaction.
- You can use either plugin without the other.
See Supported plugins and settings for the Toolkit's sources and For developers to register your own.
